I tried waiting,
my eyes got tired
of keeping a watch
on your route.

I tried calling out
your name,
my voice wouldn't
get that loud.

I tried walking
the distance between us,
my feet got tired
midway.

I tried remembering
the last time
we laughed together,
it was too long back.



But when I tried thinking
of when I fell in love with you,
and the last time
you made me smile...

...there was no tiredness,
my heart knew,
no matter
the miles.

It was just yesterday,
when I was yours
and you
were mine.

Just yesterday,
when Love stood
yet another
test of time.
