Un Désir Pour L'amour (A Yearning for Love)

Dreams within
an illusion-ed living.
Passions that build up
with the
unfulfilled desires.
A solitary night
that breathes
upon my skin,
Wishes
with a muffled silence
in the cold,
 for a fire.

The gentle touch of love.
The all-encompassing eyes
that admire.
Tight embraces
of souls in the dark.
Conversations
that would go haywire.

The shuffling of the satin sheets.
Moans of pleasure
echoing through joy,
Perspiring dreams
turning to reality.
Stark nakedness
in coy convoy.

Such wishes and desires
held close
In a heaving bosom
each night.
Sighs of longing
instead of
satiety.
A made-up love
of a forlorn sight.

Many a flame
of the candles lit,
Reflected in beads
of grieving ire.
Satin sheets ruffled
every morning,
Still wait
in the cold for the fire.

The Afternoon Star

A revolving sun
around the earth;
A galaxy I'd
created for myself.

A flower bud
seeking nectar;
A swarm of bees
I'd belonged to.

Everything already in,
the answers to every whim;
Each thing I'd searched for,
outside.
Every dream, achievable,
the tales, never far-fetched;
Each time I doubted
my own ability.

A star shining
with the afternoon sun;
you came along
so bright.

Laughs we shared
in an amusement park;
you taught me to laugh
in joy.

When things fell apart,
You feared to start;
Taking your flight
at midnight.
The storms that came
in your absence, the seldom meeting
would still suffice.

I've lived this long, learnt lessons a few.
A few from myself, a few from you.

The awe I felt on your sight
Was the reflection of the ability inside.

Remembrance

There's a blue sky overhead,
with clouds like
the ripples in a little pond
you threw a pebble into.

There are sparrows chirping,
their voices sweet,
like the melody you'd whispered
and put me to sleep.

Those breezes when they come,
gushing out stories,
like the times you ran to me
full of triumph, grinning broadly.

There's this noisy street,
so always jammed,
like when you couldn't decide
what on earth wasn't damned!

That little girl I meet
each evening when I return,
her smile as refreshing
as your face in the sun.

These flowers, the green grass,
they sway in the evening cold winds,
bumping into each other
every now and then.

All those dogs on the street,
look up at me
with eyes so innocent
Seeking to give company.

All this while, each moment I see
Your presence, though not always there,
is always with me.

And yet you ask, how I always remember you. :)

Forever Always

They'd said
the word being 'Forever'...
They'd said
the word being 'Always'...

The Forever Always
seeming like Tempting Eternities
calling out across decades
when we felt low.

The Forever Always
healing temporary wounds
burning desires
shrieks echoing
across abandoned locked doors.

Suddenly when
the storms
hit the ocean bed
and the tremors
longed for the shore

When the ship
It wrecked
The land, lost
the storm left
no more...

The Forever Always
seeming to always be there
flee in fright

The Forever Always
seeming to keep promises
vanished from sight...

The Forever Always
hid forever,
leaving us lost,
hurt and broken.
The trust, torn.
Not a goodbye spoken.

How unceremonious, insulting and humiliating.

How casual, insensitive and breaking.

The Forever Always
forever believed in,
abandoned the house
Filled in new wounds
burning desires
shrieks echoing
across abandoned locked doors.

The Forever Always broke a belief, shattered the trust,
Left us. Abandoned.
